A little about me
I’ve spent more than 18 years helping brands shape their voice, sharpen their message, and bring their stories to life. From big-picture strategy to the tiny details that make content sing, I love finding that sweet spot where brand and audience truly connect.
I partner with hospitality organizations, trade media, and executives who need to turn information into influence. My work goes well beyond ‘content’—I build editorial architecture. My background spans both editorial leadership and brand-side strategy, giving me the unique ability to connect the business of hospitality with the art of the guest experience.
My perspective is grounded in deep industry access. Today, I maintain a front-row seat to the industry’s evolution as Senior Contributing Editor for LODGING Magazine—the official publication of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA)—where I cover the trends and business strategies driving the industry forward. I also help shape the narrative for the independent sector as the curator of the Mint Pillow newsletter. Previously, I served as Editor-in-Chief of Hotel Management and Content Director at Questex Hospitality. This dual view—from the macro trends shaping the industry’s future to the operational strategies that optimize guest satisfaction and profitability—allows me to translate complex market dynamics into narratives that drive genuine connection.
While my focus is on leadership and strategy, my roots are in the craft of writing. I’ve written destination and property features for numerous B2C and B2B outlets, including Hotels Above Par, Luxury Travel Advisor, Modern Luxury, Hawaii magazine, Weddings Unveiled magazine, city magazines for Wilmington (NC) and Charleston (SC), and website copy for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Raffles Hotels & Resorts, spotlighting the details that make hotels and locations truly unforgettable. That work deepened my love for swoon-worthy design and for telling stories that transport readers right into the guest experience.
I’m an avid traveler and hotel enthusiast. Assignments for trade and consumer outlets have taken me everywhere from the Caribbean to Cairo, France to French Polynesia—and plenty of cities across the U.S., as well. If I haven’t been there yet, rest assured it’s on my list!
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me getting my hands dirty (literally) as a certified intern for the NC Extension Master Gardener program through NC State University. Otherwise, I'm likely listening to live music, wrangling my ever-growing jungle of houseplants 🪴, or traveling with family and friends.
